Sheryl Cole

Cole was a teen substance abuse counselor and taught English at high schools in Bremerton, Wash. and Juneau, Ala., before transferring to Granger (Wash.) High School in the Yakima Valley. A first-year journalism teacher, Cole finds the class both challenging and invigorating. Her students were thrilled to see their first edition of the Spartan Times roll off the presses in December 2008. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English at Rocky Mountain College and a master’s in psychology at Norwich University. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, going to garage sales and taking long walks with her husband and their dog.
