John Edmiston

John Edmiston

John Edmiston worked as a daily journalist for more than 30 years. After retiring, he returned home to San Antonio to work as a substitute teacher in the Northeast School District and has been teaching journalism and photojournalism at South San Antonio High School for three semesters. He is also yearbook adviser for the Cat Tale and hopes to restart the campus newspaper. Edmiston earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at Texas A&M University, where he was also a member of the Corps of Cadets. He worked at several Texas newspapers, including The Paris News, the San Antonio Light, the Houston Post and he spent the last decade at the Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones Newswires. Edmiston is an avid gardener, student of history and collector of 1960s music and Texas A&M cadet memorabilia.
