Cynthia Mazurek

Cynthia Mazurek has been teaching English and journalism at Bandera (Texas) High School for the last eight years. Prior to moving to Texas, she lived in New Jersey, Florida and the United Kingdom. Mazurek earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Rutgers College. After graduation, she held a series of sales and marketing jobs and began teaching only after her sons entered kindergarten. She attended Texas State University and was one of the charter students in their online alternative certification programs. She and her husband both work for Bandera Independent School District and run a barbeque catering business in their spare time. They have two sons and enjoy attending their sporting events.
