Cheryl Lindo

Cheryl Lindo hails from Miami where she works as a language arts teacher and serves as the adviser of the school newspaper, The Oracle. She has been a teacher at Miami Southridge Senior High School for the past two years. Prior to that, she worked for several years as a broadcast journalist. Lindo began her journalism career in 2001, as an assignment desk editor at WFTX-FOX 4 in Fort Myers, Fla. Within a year, she achieved her goal by becoming an on-air reporter for SNN-Channel 6 in Sarasota, Fla. In 2005, she decided to head back to Miami after being offered an opportunity to work as an associate producer at WFOR-Channel 4. She earned a bachelors degree in journalism from the University of Miami and is currently studying to obtain a master’s degree in business administration. When she is not working or studying, Lindo enjoys cooking and working out.
