The Society of Professional Journalists student chapter invites you to our Project Watchdog Panel, SPJ's initiative to engage the public in a dialogue about the role of a free and ethical news media in American society. The Panel will feature four Texas journalists who have demonstrated the Watchdog role and excel in serving the public interest :

Forrest Wilder, The Texas Observer

Jay Root, Associated Press (formerly with Ft. Worth Star Telegram)

Bill Minutaglio, Clinical Professor, School of Journalism

Chris Tomlinson, Associated Press
