Since 1997, Pat Baldwin has been Editor in Chief of Private Clubs, a 20-year-old, bimonthly lifestyle magazine published by Dallas-based ClubCorp, which owns and operates about 200 private golf and country clubs, business clubs, and resorts worldwide, including the UT Club in the stadium and Barton Creek Resort in Austin. (In terms of its audience affluence, Private Clubs consistently is ranked among the top five publications in the Mendelsohn Affluent Survey of more than 100 publications.) She served as Editor in Chief of Golf for Women magazine in Lake Mary, Florida, from 1994 -1997. Prior to that, she was a business writer and columnist at The Dallas Morning News for five years and at The Dallas Times Herald for two years. She also has 10 years experience with business journals in Houston and Austin. She was editor of Austin Business Journal from 1983-1986. Since 1987, she has served as an adjunct at five universities, teaching a variety of journalism courses. During the long semesters in 2003-2004 and 2004-2005, she taught J327 (Feature Writing) at UT Austin. She earned B.J. and M.A. degrees from UT Austin, majoring in journalism. She has a Ph.D. in higher education and journalism from the University of North Texas. .
