Diversity Disconnects

Diversity Disconnects: From Class Room to News Room, based on two years of research, assesses efforts and progress from journalism education to newsrooms in integrating and diversifying. (It argues that one does not guarantee the other.) This report provides history and data about diversity related curriculum. It also gives findings from a representative national survey of broadcast and print newsrooms, exploring their intellectual foundations. Graphs, examples and quotes are included.
