Tracy Dahlby - China on the Move

David Garlock's work has appeared nationwide in newspapers and magazines including Texas Monthly, Texas Highways, Advertising Age, the Austin American-Statesman, Southern Living and the Associated Press. The second edition of Garlock's first book, "Pulitzer Prize Feature Stories," was published in 2003 by Iowa State University Press.

Mercedes Lynn de Uriarte teaches Alternative Media, which is a cross-listed, interdisciplinary survey course for graduate and undergraduate students that explores the journalistic, sociological and historical role of the alternative press. It also provides students with skills and the opportunity to produce InCite—a similar web publication driven by intellectual diversity.

Max McCombs' most recent book is "Setting the Agenda: The Mass Media and Public Opinion", published in the fall of 2004 by Polity Press in Cambridge, England. He also is the co-author of "The Two W's of Journalism: The Why and What of Public Affairs Reporting" (2003), "Research in Mass Communication" (2000) and "Contemporary Public Opinion" (1991).
