Visiting Documentary Photographer Joseph Rodriguez

Accomplished documentary photographer, Joseph Rodriguez is recognized for his commitment to social justice. On March 27th, he will give a public lecture and presentation of work, including a Q&A with those in attendance.
Brooklyn born Joseph Rodriguez has had work appear in The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, Jane, Mother Jones, Newsweek, Esquire, Stern and Der Spiegel among others.
He teaches at New York University, the International Center of Photography,New York and has also taught in Scandinavia, Europe and Mexico.
Rodriguez has won a number of prestigous awards including an Open Society Institute Justice Media Fellowship, a Katrina Media Fellowship, the Alicia Patterson Fellowship and grants from the NEA, Mother Jones International Fund for Documentary Photography as well as numerous awards in the Pictures of the Year contests.
His seventh book, Still Here, is scheduled for publication with PowerHouse Books in 2008, and documents the expressions of hope, perseverance, and suffering in the still-devastated communities of New Orleans and Texas.
