Prof Poindexter’s New Book Examines Media's Troubles With News Consumers

Professor Poindexter’s new book, "Women, Men, and News: Divided and Disconnected in the News Media Landscape," (Paula Poindexter, Sharon Meraz and Amy Schmitz Weiss, editors), takes a fresh look at newspapers’ troubles with news consumers, especially women, young people and people of color.
In addition to analyzing these problems from print and online perspectives, "Women, Men, and News" proposes 21st century solutions that it says, if implemented, will re-engage women readers, capture the attention of the next generation of news consumers, and strengthen the Fourth Estate.
