Shubhranshu Choudhary talks about his experiment with democratic communication and citizen journalism among disenfranchised and rural villagers in India’s Central tribal region.
Choudhary is the founder of CGNetSwara, the world’s first mobile phone-based community news network. In 2014, he won a Google Digital Activism award and was named one of the 100 Leading Global Thinkers by Foreign Affairs magazine. He formerly worked with British Broadcasting Corporation as a South Asia Producer for over 10 years.
