Krissi Reeves

Master's Student

Krissi Reeves is a creative communicator, entrepreneur, and storyteller. She is an MA-Professional Track student in the School of Journalism and Media.

Since 2013, Krissi has worked as a public relations and media consultant, amplifying the stories of dozens of hospitality, lifestyle, and entertainment brands. In 2018, she founded High Kick, where she represents a roster of Austin’s best cultural attractions and community organizations.

Prior to her communications trek, Krissi co-founded the East Austin music and performing arts venue, the North Door, where she played a vital role in repurposing an underutilized soundstage into a vibrant hub for underrepresented artists and musicians. 

As an award-winning writer and storyteller, her work has been featured at San Francisco Fringe Festival, Long Center for the Performing Arts, Paramount Theatre, and more.  A passionate arts advocate, she also served on the City of Austin Arts Commission for four years.  

Krissi holds a B.A. in Mass Communications and Media Studies from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.
