Madison (Madi) Donham is a dual master's student at the LBJ School of Public Affairs and the Moody School of Journalism, with specializations in international migration and visual storytelling. Prior to attending graduate school at The University of Texas, Madi contributed to the digital media efforts at Points of Light, a presidential legacy nonprofit dedicated to volunteer service. She also spent time with International Justice Mission’s Kampala, Uganda office to assist the field office director with gender-based violence casework and justice system transformation programs that were focused on ending impunity.
Originally from Richmond, Texas, Madi is excited to return to her alma mater, where she studied public relations as an undergraduate student. Her research interests include international migration, forced displacement, and immigration policy. She works to combine knowledge gained in the policy arena with journalism skills in order to build bridges between global news and the public.
