Nicole Cobler is an Austin reporter for Axios, where she helped launch a daily newsletter about the city in 2021. She previously covered politics and technology for the Austin American-Statesman, and her work has appeared in various news outlets, including the Washington Post, USA Today, Dallas Morning News, Texas Tribune and Houston Chronicle. Nicole studied journalism at the University of Texas, where she spent nearly all of her free time in The Daily Texan's basement.
