Boyoun Ku

Boyoun Ku is an M.A. student in the Research and Theory track at the School of Journalism and Media, University of Texas at Austin. She earned her B.A. in Media and Communication from Yonsei University in 2024 and studied as an exchange student at the University of California, Berkeley from 2022 to 2023. Her research explores the intersection of social media and society, with a focus on media framing, building allyship through social media grounded in contact theory, and examining dehumanization in media. She specializes in studying online communities and the role of social media in shaping public discourse.
