Claire Seigmund is a Journalism and Media doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests include political communication, media effects, and mis/disinformation. In 2023, Claire received her M.A. in Mass Communications from Texas Tech University, where her thesis explored Volodymyr Zelensky's online persona on Instagram as a method of self-presentation and soft power in the context of the Russia-Ukraine War. She earned her B.A. in Creative Media Industries from Texas Tech University in 2021. 

Before pursuing her PhD, Claire worked as an adjunct instructor for the College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University. She is a central Texas native and enjoys reading and playing volleyball in her free time.
