Jackson Bauer is a Master's student in the school of Journalism and Media. Originally from Beeville, TX, he graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Sports Broadcasting with a minor in business from Texas Christian University in 2025.
Jackson has 5+ years of live sports broadcasting experience across multiple platforms and roles. His background includes providing play-by-play commentary for football, basketball, volleyball, and baseball, delivering engaging and accurate coverage for audiences in real time. During his time in undergrad, Jackson worked as a DJ as well as studio host for baseball and women's college basketball, developing strong on-air communication, interviewing, and production skills. Passionate about storytelling through sports, he combines broadcast expertise, preparation, and adaptability to create compelling coverage both in the booth and the studio.
In his free time, Jackson enjoys fishing, photography, and exploring the outdoors. He is thrilled to be a Longhorn and looks forward to exploring Austin.
