Keyu Liu is an M.A. student (Research and Theory track) in the School of Journalism and Media at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests lie in political communication, internet activism, and media culture. He is particularly interested in how netizens engage in political expression and participation through creative and innovative practices on digital platforms and social media. He always looks forward to opportunities for research collaboration and research assistantship positions related to political communication and social media research.
Keyu earned his B.S.Sc. in Journalism and Communication (with Honours, First Class) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Beyond research, Keyu is an avid football and basketball fan of Dallas Mavericks, Bayern and Chelsea. He has a Ragdoll cat named Miro after his favorite football player. He also enjoys listening to pop music anytime, anywhere.
