Madeline De Figueiredo

Madeline de Figueiredo is a master’s student in the School of Journalism and Media. As a writer and journalist, her work focuses on technology, health, and public spaces. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Guardian, Slate, The Boston Globe, and elsewhere. Madeline spent over five years working in the nonprofit ecosystem in human rights research and advocacy and in public interest technology. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago and has spent multiple years living and working in Eastern Europe and North Africa.
