Matthew Cohen

Matt Cohen is a Ph.D student in the School of Journalism and Media at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to arriving on the Forty Acres, Matt earned his Master's in journalism at the Universtiy of Maryland, and his Bachelor of Journalism degree at Indiana University. Matt also spent several years working in newsrooms including The Washington Post, Tampa Bay Times, AL.com, The Indianapolis Star, The Baltimore Sun and The Oregonian. His research interests include sports journalism, media technology including AI and how journalists apply modern reporting skills in their daily work.

And, as a Maryland native, Matt will staunchy defend putting Old Bay on anything.
