Menghan Yin is a master’s student (Research and Theory track) in the School of Journalism and Media at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research explores health promotion and media psychology, with a focus on women’s health, stigma, persuasion, and trust. She is particularly interested in the role of large language models (LLMs) in health communication. In addition, she examines the power structures and language patterns that shape public health discourse. Recently, she has begun looking into feminist advertising and consumer behavior.

Outside of her research, Menghan is optimistic, warm and easygoing. Her MBTI type is ENFP. She enjoys meeting new people, singing, staying up late and reading web novels. Her family once had a beautiful parrot named Three-Three. It was too noisy, so her mother gave it away. Menghan was heartbroken and cried for three days and three nights.
