Tasnuva Ahona

Ahona is a Ph.D. student in the School of Journalism and Media at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, social media and political communication. Before starting her Ph.D she was a Research & Theory Masters student in the same department. She comes from Dhaka, Bangladesh with a Bachelors and a Professional Masters degree in Journalism and Media from Jahangirnagar University. She has worked as a reporter at The Business Standard and had the opportunity to work with NPR, serve as a Deutsche Welle (DW) Fellow, and contribute to projects with the U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh. Outside of research, she loves cinema, reading, traveling somewhere new, or diving into whatever happens to spark her curiosity.
