Zhiting (Zoe) is a first-year PhD student at the School of Journalism and Media. Her research interests revolve around visuals in media content or news coverage and audience perceptions. To explore how audiences perceive and respond to visuals, she employs a range of methodological approaches (e.g., interviews, surveys, and experiments). Zhiting completed a dual honors BA in Media and Communication and Philosophy at the University of Sydney. Later, she earned an MA in Digital Communication from the University of Sydney and an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri. Zhiting enjoyed working as a video journalist and video editor for a little while before going to grad school.
