Clare Boyle is the Administrative Manager for the School of Journalism, after four years of serving as the Program Coordinator for the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas. Before coming to Austin, she was the Program Coordinator for media initiatives at the Salzburg Global Seminar, a non-profit organization based in Salzburg, Austria. She oversaw the Strengthening Independent Media initiative and coordinated the Salzburg Academy, an international study abroad program. She has a journalism degree and a French degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she served as an academic advisor after graduation.
Alexis Chavez oversees the academic and financial aspects of the School of Journalism. She is responsible for CIS requests, exam scheduling, textbook orders and event organization, along with purchasing, payments, travel, and reimbursements. Prior to joining the School of Journalism, Alexis was the Administrative Associate for the Management Department in the McCombs School of Business.

Graduate Program Coordinator II
Chaz provides academic services and support to all prospective and currently-enrolled graduate students in Journalism and their respective degree programs. As a liaison to the Office of Graduate Studies, students typically visit Chaz for assistance with admissions, matriculation, academic and registration policies, degree requirements and progress, graduation, and general advising. Prior to joining the School of Journalism, Chaz served the School of Architecture, the Department of French & Italian, the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and the Department of Anthropology.
Away from the office, Chaz is a performance artist among the rosters of organizations such as the San Antonio Chamber Choir, Chorus Austin, and St. David’s Episcopal Church in downtown Austin, TX.
